Description

Very nice 1969 Cougar XR7 Convertible project. Car runs and drives great. Unfortunately the top was down when the car was hit in the right rear quarter panelback in 2009 and it broke the main lift rail that the cylinder attaches to and can not be operated until repaired if possible or replaced, the pump and cylinders do work fine from what I can tell on a quick bump of the switch. Many items have been rebuilt and or replaced with new parts back in 2006 when the car underwent a light restoration. Which consisted of a new paint job over the original paint, A new top with the glass back window which now has a smallcut do to the frame rail that broke in the accident. Engine was rebuilt and sounds like it has a mild cam installed, intake is theoriginal cast 4V with a new Holley street carb. exhaust manifolds are stock but does have all new dualexhaust and muffler system. Trans is the factoryFMX which is pretty clean and shiftsas it should. Tires and rims are after market aluminumwith newer tires. Sequintual box was replaced with the new style digital electronic box. All parts not seen on car are allin boxes except for the front bumper whichwas missing when I found this car sitting in a body shop for the last few years. Rear bumper is there and brand new. This kitty has a lot of options with the power top, power windows, A/C that is working but does need a charge, Power brakes,Power steering, Factory 8 track radio,Hideaway headlightcovers work great with no binding or rattles. This car had only one small spot of rust through on the inner trunk pan panel to lower quarter area behind thedrain hole. To repair this car theright way it will need a new inner and outer tub and some light work to upper filler deck between trunk and back window. A good used complete quarter with tub would be the way to go instead of using the new skin it has now as the tub has a lot of damage but could be worked out by a good body man. Please look over all of the pictures and ask questions as needed. I will try to respond to all. Thank you and Happy Bidding.
