Description

For sale is a 1951 Mercury! (Relisted due to last bidder backing out)
This four door is in good shape and has all kind of custom enhancements and is a real attention grabber wherever she goes!
Power is provided by a 350 Chevy crate motor w/ a four barrel carb. The transmission is a R4 Corvette transmision. Power steering and power brakes all resting on a Mustang front clip.Power to the rear wheels comes via a 9 inch Ford rear end. Lake pipes take sound to the outside! The odometer is an estimate based on average daily milage since the installation of the new motor. The odometer works but the window is fogged and it is difficult to read.
Inside you are sitting on seats out of a Chrysler Seabring and the center console is part Lexus and part custom. There is also air-conditioning, stereo with a CD, Door poppers, and all upholstery is by Texas Auto Tops. The trunk popper gets stuck sometimes but still opens.
On the exterior there are whitewalls and Dodge Lancer hubcaps with a spare whitewall in the trunk.
As for extras, there is a sun visor, extra door handles and extra original chrome.
Finally it is all wrapped up in Maroon paint with gold flake in it. The last few pictures show that there is some flaking of the clear coat on the Driver's side front fender and passenger side rear fender. The tint on the rear window is peeling a bit.
This is a driver and as such shows some wear but the motor is strong. If you are looking for the perfect restoration, then this isn't the Merc you are looking for but if you are looking for a solid daily driver, then this is the one.
