1974 MG MGB Base Convertible 2-Door 1.8L
Description
Starts, runs, body and interior rough. Rusted floors and front fenders. Rockers appear to be intact and solid. Trunk is solid too. I have new in the box Moss fender patch panels (1/4 for one side, 1/2 for the other) and new floor pans. Selling it for what I have in it. I never intended to restore it but did intend to have the patch panels and floors welded in. Simply no time to mess with it. I actually know very little about these MG's or anything about this particular one. Would like it gone but I won't be silly about it. The attached video is, I believe, pretty telling about the condition of the engine as it started within 3 attempts over 30 seconds after sitting all winter long. Transmission and clutch seem fine. All gears work, syncros appear fine. Exhaust is complete and appears to be relatively fresh. The 1989 Wash DC dealer plate on the car was on it when I bought it and apparently the car was in a barn for 20 years or so up until recently. Odometer reading is posted but I have no idea what the actual mileage is. Sold as is --just had to say it.
