Description

You are viewing a really exceptional example, of a documented low mileage survivor, that I'm listing with NO RESERVE. As you can see by my user name, I'm a Healey man, with coming up on 50 years experience with the Marque, with ties to the Healey family, and mostly to Sir Donald himself, and very close to bringing back the Big Healey, in 1981, if Jensen, the English body builder, hadn't scrapped the tooling, one year prior. About 9 years ago, I decided to look for, and experience an MGA. I studied the Marque, and concluded that it would have to be the later model, with disc brakes and the bigger displacement engine, so the search for an original MGA 1600, without rust or accident history was my goal. Ifocused and decidedon this one, as it fit my criteria, of a one owner car, with low mileage, well serviced, and never apart. The original Iris bluelacquer paint was faded, and for concours standards, not up to my level of perfection, yet a perfect running and driving candidate. The internal area of this car, was beautifully preserved, and well enough to leave original, and complement it with a very high level ($16,000)concours quality repaint, from bare metal, to what you see now. So, the bottom sides of the body panels are exceptionaloriginal paint, and the aluminum panels, which normally suffered from numerous soft blow dents, have none, and never did, so they are only aluminum and paint, and flawless. Alongwith its pristine show quality undercarriage, the mechanical condition matches the quality of the cosmetics, and performs better than a restoration, with lifetime restored hydraulics, and the list goes on, throughout. And of course, all numbers match, and also has the original working AM radio, if you have the patience to wait for the tubes to warm up. I even have the original whitewall tires and wheels, that go with it if you dare, which I believe look completely out of place on a British classic. You won't find another one like it, and with over 50 years experience with British sports cars, and considering many areas of this MGA, are better than originally built,I am completely comfortable with giving a 12 month 12,000 mile warranty, as originally given with these cars when delivered new. This warranty is offered within the continental U.S. only
The is a no reserve auction for a highquality unique 1600MGA.I have 135 photos, including the undersides of the body panels, and aluminum lids, or should I say boot and bonnet, to show their original paint and condition, and so with eBay's limit of 24 per auction listing, if anyone needs a photo of a specific area, that you don't already seeposted, just ask, and I can forward your request in an attachment to your message, through this eBay network. BTW, the word BLACK appears in the title of this listing, that I didn't insert. This part of the listing, was done by an eBay teammate, and I have no idea why, unless it refers to the California license plates, otherwise I haven't a clue. I can arrange shipping worldwide to your door at no additional cost above the shipping company's quoted rate. Thanks for looking, and good luck bidding. .
