Everything from basketcase project cars to 1,000 mile original showpieces. Of all of them this is undoubtedly the most enjoyable to drive. The car truly feels as-new. Everything is extremely tight, well-presented, and there are absolutely no tendencies of concern. I wouldn’t hesitate to fly in and drive home anywhere, not something we’d usually suggest with a British classic. Buy with confidence; this car is one of the good ones. It is in need of nothing other than a new owner who will give it the exercise it deserves. Exterior: - White paint is in excellent shape. Very, very few blemishes. A couple tiny chips, nothing significant. No dings, dents, or scuffs. The only cosmetic thing to really knock on this car is along the driver’s side trunk crease the paint appears to have been buffed thin. There is a close up of this in the video we’ve provided. - 5.5”x14” Minator wheels are in excellent shape. Tires are close-to-new as well, and are “correct” Seiberling 70s. - New convertible top - All glass and lenses are clear and crack free - Backdated with chrome bumpers, in as-new condition. Bumpers new in 2015. - Weatherstripping is all excellent Interior: - One tiny almost-puncture on the driver’s seat bottom. Extremely minor. - All gauges are functional, as is the fan and Kenwood radio with large speakers in the backseat area (we’ll remove if desired) - New MG-branded floormats - Odometer reads 90,930 and is functional and accurate Underbody/Under the Hood: - Please see service history, as this car has seen a tremendous amount of attention over the course of the last 20 years. - 1.8L I4. 4spd manual. Non-overdrive. - Runs and drives phenomenally well. Hands down the most well sorted MGB I’ve driven, and there has been many. - Underbody is in excellent shape. Absolutely no through rust or damage, only very minor surface rust on suspension components and along the underside of the rockers. - Bell stainless exhaust system is brand new. Very subtle, slightly raspy sound. Exactly how an MGB should sound. Please reach out to Jake at 773-273-8257 with any additional questions, requests, or to discuss purchasing.
