Beautifully, older restored MG-TD Mark II loaded with options! Great color combination, number’s matching, and ready for the fall shows! One of the nicest we have had the privilege of offering!

Debuting in 1950, the TC-series was replaced by a slightly larger TD-series. This new design offered both left-hand-drive appointments and an independent front suspension for the first time. They also included smaller, more tire-friendly 15” wheels and a wheel track that was 5 inches wider promising much better road handling! A Mark II Competition version was offered from the factory offering slightly larger SU H4 carburetion through a modified intake manifold, hood bulge to accommodate larger air cleaners, larger intake valves, twin electric fuel pumps, upgraded Andrex suspension dampers, higher axle ratio, and special Mark II exterior badging. This performance series was offered the entire model run through 1950-1953, and became the standard power plant for the TF by 1954. Approximately 1,700 factory units left England over those 4 years making them exceptionally rare to find today!

This beautiful 1952 MGTD Mark II Roadster comes finished in Cipper Blue over Honey Tan leatherette and matching Tan Stayfast canvass soft top and side curtains. its original, number’s matching 1250cc straight 4 engine mated to a 4-speed manual transmission, it produces a modest 57 horsepower at 5200 rpm! It is fully loaded with features that include correct vinyl covered dash, Doretti 4-spoke steering wheel, woods shift knob, correct Jaeger gauges and Lucas amp meter, electric wipers, heater, King of the Road/Lucas PL700 headlamps, 15” disc wheels with polished chrome center caps & Michelin X 155SR15 ZX radial tires, chrome tipped exhaust, Lucas fog lamps with badge bar, fender mounted mirror, dual windshield mirrors, tinted sun visor, glove box door ash tray, turn signals, seat belts, luggage rack, all-transistor AM radio in glove box, vinyl boot cover, a complete canvass top set with side curtains and full cloth tonneau cover!

Today it showcases an older, but extremely well maintained restoration fully completed by a professional MG restoration expert! Always maintained and believed to have stayed in the English car capital of the USA, in the New England area of Pennsylvania. It bears New England MG Registry #11237. Nothing on this car has been altered from original right down to the correct canister style Tecalemit oil filter, correct hoses & clamps, cloth covered wiring, Lucas gold coil, and more. The only upgrades noted were the alloy valve & tappet covers, stainless steel braided fuel lines, and accessory spark plug holder housing extra NGK plugs. All body and engine tags are clearly present and unaltered making this original example a genuine driver investment!
