1967 MGB/GT
Description
Here I have a 1967 MGB/GT, Green with black and white interior. The car has 115,498 miles and they are exact. The car now has 115,498 miles. The car does come with a title that was from Mass. when I bought the car in 2007. The car had 99,949 miles on it when I bought it. I am the 3rd. owner of the car and I stay in touch with the original owner. The car, until I bought it, was always up north. That may be the reason for the rust in the lower part of the body. The car has always been well taken cars of. I have the Bill of Sale and the shipping papers from the factory. I also have the original Owners manual along with the Factory workshop manual purchased when the original owner bought the car. It is not a reprint. I bought the car from the second owner who lived in Sandwich Mass. He kept very good care of the car also. It went through a light restoration years back. The seats are vinyl and not leather. The original owner always regretted not buying the leather seats. It had the original carpet in it when I bought it but was looking rough. I replaced it with carpet that looks very much like the original. I also had new seat foams installed when I got it. The headliner was also replaced. The car still has the original floor mats in it as it was from the factory. The windshield is original and is showing its age. It is not broke but hazing around the edges. The rear hatch glass is original but good. I replace the door glass and the quarter glass in the back. All the panels are good. The drivers seat has a small tear on the upper part from me driving it. All the other seats are good. All the instruments work and look good. The dash is very nice also. The engine has never been rebuilt. I had the water pump repaired years ago. The head has been reworked with new steel seats and bronze guides. I had the carbs rebuilt by Joe Curto a few years back. The car still has the generator but I converted it to neg. ground. It had a radio but I took it out. The steering wheel is good. I repaired a couple of cracks on it a while back. The engine is good while maintaining good oil pressure. The clutch was replaced way back by the first owner. The car still runs good. The transmission is original and does not have any issues. The complete drivetrain is original. The brakes work well. As I mentioned, the car is showing some bubbling of rust on the lower body. Along the dog legs, along the rockers and the front of the rear wheel panel. The hood was repaired and has some bondo in it. The original owner bumped the rear end of a truck years ago. There is a little bubbling on the driver side rear seam. But not bad. All of the rust is the bubbling kind and could be repaired by cutting it out and replacing with new metal. The floors are very solid with no rust. I had the car painted about 4 years ago. It was painted British Racing Green with metallic in the paint. It is not the same as the original. The paint is very nice, even over the bubbles. The car wasBritish Racing Green from the factory. Some of the original paint is in the area under the rear hatch. The car came with wire wheels but I replaced them with the chrome Dayton wheels. They are 72 spoke wheels and are like new. The tires are excellent also. All in all, the car is very sound. It is a great driver and could be restored to a very fine car because of how original it is. I'm sure I've left something out so e-mail or call me with questions. I live in Trussville, Al. and my cell # 205-914-2952. I have a Title from Mass. when I got the car. We don't title cars here but I have it if needed. I also have all the paper work from repairs done. Thanks and Happy Bidding!

On Jun-11-16 at 06:16:45 PDT, seller added the following information:Let me add a couple of other things. Here is the time line of ownership. The original owner from August 18, 1967 to second owner at Nov.15, 2002 to current owner, me, at September 2, 2007. This is a very early car being imported here to New Jersey on May 12, 1966. This car has always been driven and not stored. The 3 owners have taken care of it but in the same time, it is a an almost 50 year old car. The drivetrain is original, the suspension, original, and most things still intact. It does need some body work but is well worth a full restoration. I just don't have the time to do it. I have a '64 MGB tourer that is taking all my time. Thanks, Bill
