Description

ok so I acquired this vehicle about 6 months ago from a close family friend. He is an older gentleman that is a retired now delta mechanic. He bought this car and restored it in the 80s for his father. He did some interior panels new wiring here and there and he also rebuilt the engine. Well about ten years ago his father passed and he took the car back in his possession. He let it sit under a tarp in a covered carport for years. He moved and needed to get the car out of there and that’s when I purchased it from him. I work in restoration of motorcycles for a living and do all my automobile work myself. This is the first vintage car project I’ve ever worked on and all I can say is it’s been a fun and rewarding process getting this car back to where it needs to be. I’m ocd when it comes to my quality of work and 90% of the time I do way more than needed for personal satisfaction. Now here’s a list of what I can remember off the top of my head that I’ve done to the car to put it back on the road. I am still finishing up the last little details before I call this project complete. I’ve installed new battery, mudflaps, thermostat, shifter nob, tires, front brakes pads/rotors/calipers/brake lines, rear brakes shoes/wheel cylinder/lines, oil and filter, steering boot covers, Leland side badges, air filter, oil fill cap, windshield wipers, radiator cap, spark plugs, oil transfer line, clutch master cylinder, slave cylinder clutch actuator, coolant hoses, fuel pump, fuel filters, contact for horn, flushed cooling system and has new fluid brake system has been flushed and bled as well as the hydraulic clutch. All electricals work radio and lights. I’ve buffed and waxed most of the car I’m almost done. The fuel bottle in the pictures are from before I installed the new fuel pump. There are some marks on the car no dents or gashes. I have a list of all parts and service I’ve installed since I acquired the car. It’s equipped with a aftermarket carb and exhaust. It fires right up the car charges and cools like it should. The longer I have this car the more money I’m gonna spend playing and upgrading. I need this car gone I’ve already done way more work than needed. Please feel free to ask me any questions you may have before purchasing. I will require a $200 deposit upon purchasing this car and want the remaining balance paid with cash upon pick up.
