The current owner of this vehicle purchased it nearly 32 years ago, he has taken excellent care of it and has always been on top of service and maintenance. The engine and transmission in this MGA have been upgraded to a 1962 MGB 3-bearing 1,798cc engine. A new wire harness was installed in... 1996 along with an entire repaint of the vehicle. The current owner has recently installed a new oil cooler, generator, starter, thermostat, master cylinder. brake lines, battery, and water pump. When introduced, the "A" charted a new direction for MG. The cars were lower with sleek lines, more roomy interior, low seating position and more powerful. Most importantly was the departure of the body-on-frame design for a uni-body construction. The car was stiffer, much more rigid, and demonstrated vastly improved handling capabilities.
