1959 Austin Healey Bugeye Sprite Replica Sports Car.

Austin Healey Bugeye Sprite based on and Titled as a 1976 MG Midget . Originally the Bugeyes came with a smaller 948 cc engine while this one is equipped with the larger much more powerful 1500 cc MG engine and this little buggy is an absolute blast to drive!

This car was professionally built over a two year period and no expense was spared to make this the coolest little car you ever saw.

What kind of shape is it in ? The car took 1st place at the 2018 Boston World of Wheels show in the pre-1963 Restoration Class! It's correct and stunning enough to fool the judges at the show into believing it is an original Bugeye. Once they started commenting on how nice it was and that you don't see cars like this in this shape, I didn't have the heart to tell them it was a kit. They liked it enough to award it 1st place at the show ! I accepted the award and said thank you.

It’s that nice ! It’s beautiful, rust free, and runs and drives excellent ! The car starts right up, runs smooth, is excellent on gas and is probably the most fun car I’ve had yet. (...and I’ve had several fun cars) I drove the car all summer and would not hesitate to take it anywhere near or far, it runs cool and smooth as silk and goes straight as an arrow. Here's a partial list of what is Brand New on the car : Brand New brake pads and shoes, new wheel bearings, new rotors and wheel cylinders all new lines, four new tires . New interior and carpet, engine professionally rebuilt as is the transmission and rear axle (new bearings all else was fine, New Seat Belts, Lighting, Switches, Windshield Glass, ect. ect.

The car needs nothing, it's ready to drive to your local show or across the country. This kit car is lighter, faster and in much better shape than 90% of the original Bugeye's out there and can be had and enjoyed for a lot less money.

I've set a VERY reasonable reserve on this car, and also a VERY reasonable buy it now....

Please note: There two small scuffs in the paint on the left rear fender looks like a shopping cart or something got it, no body damag, crack or anything, just a scuff. Trying to write a completely honest and accurate description of the car ! See photo's. Otherwise the car is absolutely mint. If you are local please contact me to come check it out. Not local ? The car has a clear title in my name as the 1976 MG Midget it’s chassis and engine and VIN # are based on. The car is set up for sunny weather as it currently does not have a hard top or soft top though they are available through the Victoria British and/or Moss catalogs.
