1973 MGB Roadster is a Diamond in the rough seen here at the British car restoration shop waiting in line under cover. It really deserves a good restoration. Been sitting for a few years. Purchased from a local FBI agent. May not take much to get running again but have never tried to start. I had great intentions of refurbishing this car due to it being one of the scarce BLACK TULIP colored cars only offered for one year. Many enthusiasts from the Southeast will recall the late Chris Gore's MGB which was Black Tulip because it won British car shows all over the South for many years. I always thought it was the best color ever put on an MG, so I bought this one with great intentions that never materialized. It is currently repainted a burgundy brownish color, but under the bonnet and in the trunk, the original Black Tulip color still shines. (The color is a dark purple that some say looks black in certain lights, hence the name. This MGB is complete and very straight, with a beautifully done interior, although in need of some rust repair, but still very solid. Mostly lower panels and some on floors. Includes the pictured period aluminum slot mag wheels, with at lease 3 center caps in the car. Also a box of miscellaneous parts in trunk! A fun car project worth tackling for sure!See pictures that show its condition. Available to see anytime in Alcoa, TN.
