Description

I am happy to offer this low mile, original 1975 MGB Roadster for consideration. There is probably not another MGB in this condition anywhere outside a museum. This MGB Roadster, in classic original Citron, is the ultimate small British roadster that delivers a great open air driving experience without breaking the bank. The vehicle was purchased new at Fred Deeley Motors in Vancouver, B.C. The vehicle has had just 2 caring owners and has never seen snow or rain, always garage kept, routinely serviced and has been driven just 16,111 miles since new. As a result, the car today remains in remarkably wonderful original condition. It features the original engine and transmission, all original interior, original sheet-metal and original paint and underside, original stock wheels, full size spare, and jack. Mechanically this MGB is outstanding, pulls strong in every gear, tracks true and stops straight. The car has been upgraded with new rubber gaskets, a modern 115 Amp Alternator and Electronic Ignition as well as other important conveniences. The car is turn-key, on the button and ready for immediate use. Documentation includes original Warranty Card, original Dealer Service Book, original Drivers Handbook, Service Records and Workshop Manual. This rare example of one of the first "rubber bumper" MGBs is now set up in near concours configuration with original Zenith Stromberg carburator and stock intake and exhaust manifolds. This original configuration surprisingly DOES NOT include the problematic catalytic convertor. Included in the sale are many accessories and "extras": An alternate Weber carburator setup with special intake manifold and headers, four period "Panasport" alloy wheels with tires (minimal mileage), a bin full of new "spares", full and half tonneau covers, cotton "garage" dust cover and modern four layer outdoor cover (used once), and aftermarket hardtop. In short, this is probably the best MGB that can be had. The MG vehicles are always followed with great passion for a myriad of reasons. This MGB is a result of quality, great style, and meticulous maintenance. This is a fun driving vehicle that needs to be part of your collection. If you are a California resident and will be transferring the title in California, the car will need to be smogged "one more time"..(it passed just two years and less than 750 miles ago). I will be happy to assist with this, however, the buyer will be responsible for all related costs.
