Description

1974 MGB “Sabrina” model. Last of the chrome bumpers.
Manufactured 6/14/1974 3 months before MG changed to rubber bumpers- Heritage certificate verify the numbers match. Less than 1000 miles since a 3 year, full restoration.
Bare metal, fully stripped body respray of a solid original car. Minor rust was repaired with all metal, welded and leaded. All body voids sprayed with rest preventative. Underbody, fender wells, trunk were all sprayed with body colored truck bed liner.
All parts were removed and either rebuilt or replaced including a fully rebuilt engine with all new internals like rings, bearings, oil pump, cam shaft, and lifters. The head was rebuilt including new valves and hardened seats to allow for unleaded fuel use from the new fuel tank with no issues. All new fully stainless steel exhaust. All brake components were replaced including pads, rotors, master cylinder, all lines. Clutch hydraulics are all new and operate a new heavy duty clutch on the 4 speed transmission (non-OD). The suspension system was completely rebuilt with new performance polyurethane bushings and all poly body mounts.
The interior was fully reupholstered in leather, new door cards from England, and all panels restored in original Autumn Leaf color to match the correct original, rare Tundra green single stage paint. All electrical system components were either rebuilt or replaced and the entire wiring loom was restored, including new, original style connectors. The chrome bezels on the restored gauges and most switches were replaced; all sit in a complete brand new dash behind a brand new windshield. Dealer optional original NOS heavy duty rubber MG floor mats protect all new carpet.
This car was restored to be a driver’s car, not a show car or a trailer queen. The paint’s minor flaws and upgrades added for convenience and to extend the driving season make this car ready to be driven not for the concours field. Extras like seat heaters, Bluetooth music and smartphone integration for the factory BMC radio with hidden speakers as well as dealer added A/C upgraded to today’s new Freon with all new seals and hoses. The new radiator and cooling system was fortified with a relay controlled, pusher electric fan as well as an ABS fan shroud to ensure it will stay cool even in the hottest rush hour traffic, which it does! Currently registered in Georgia and driven almost daily.
Sold on bill of sale as Georgia is a non-title state for cars older than 1986.
A new top, new tires, and all new rubber seals make this car ready to drive anywhere, anytime. Receipts totaling more than $10k, over 3000 hours of labor, and over 5GB of photos documenting the entire process result in a great driving car that starts the first time, every time.
This car is sold AS IS, where is...Buyer responsible for shipping and pick up. If you do not intend to buy, don't bid!
