MGA roadster 1962 Austin Healy Fiat Alfa Romeo British
Description
Has clear Ca. title. I believe it has original miles on it. When I first got the car it was not running, I rebuilt the carbs and found a lot of crud in the first carb so I took out the tank and had it boiled out down at the local radiator shop, all is well, then I fired it up to discover the clutch is shot and no oil pressure, I pull the engine, replace the oil pump, put in new clutch and rebuild the fork assembly, new release bearing and while I had the engine out, decided to have a look in the tranny where I found a broken tooth. No big deal but I sent off to Michigan for another transmission and it was worth it! came out of another 62, high starter mount, blah, blah. Shifts well, no noises, The car runs very smooth, went 80 on the highway, no shake rattle and roll. Interior very good, not leather but a nice tan kit, most likely from Moss. Carpet like new, working am fm radio complete with cassette player (you can play your Leslie Gore hits from 1962) New paint. All electrics working, brakes good, tires almost new. Compression is at 140 in each cylinder! not bad. Does not leak! Now for the flaws! there is a missing arm rest, there is a weld on the frame under the passenger side which I have determined to be an old rust repair, nicely done but it is there. I have determined that there is bondo around the nose area which is common with any car this old, its hard to find one of these without it, There is no rust. The vinyl top has a small tear which I've glued. The spare wire wheel is ugly but holds air with good tread. You are welcome to drive it after I have determined that You are civilized, Merry CHRISTmas!
