A/C, Fully Refurbished Motor/Suspension/More - $18K Receipts, No Reserve
Description
Many more photos available on our website or at mosingmotorcars.com/cars/1973-mgb-gt/ You're looking at an excellent and mostly original example of a 1973 MG B GT. This car is on owner number three, a collector that maintains all his cars meticulously and stores them in a climate controlled area year round. Since he acquired it in 2012, he has spent almost $20K in mechanical work to get the car up to snuff and running like a top. Fairly rare Limeflower green color (it's polarizing, but we love it - we think it's vintage chic). It does have some wear and a few chips and scratches as would be commensurate with a car of this age. The body is straight and rust free. Panel fit is excellent. Interior is original and in good condition. Driver's seat does have some wear and tear (seen in photos) and carpets have some fade. Dash has one small tear (upper) and one small crack (lower). Headliner still in tact and adhered fully. Many of the factory original stickers and markings remain on the car (see photos). Original, numbers matching engine (18V672Z-L15406). Factory tinted glass, converted 134a air conditioning that blows cold and works like a charm. Mechanical work done after the current owner's purchase include: - Complete A/C replacement with 134a system - R&R complete front suspension for bushing replacement and refinishing (swivel assemblies, wheel bearings, sway bar bushings, urethane bushings, rack alignment bushings, tie rod ends, steering rack boot, rack alignment bushings). Rear spring bushing kit. - New transmission mounts, gearbox rear mount (urethane), stay pad, mounts, bushings, square clutch lever boot - Big brake kit (Wilwood) and new brake master cylinder, stainless lines, pedal box cover seal, lower pedal box seal. Overhaul of rear brake system (wheel bearings, machine drums, shoes, handbrake lever boot, springs, screws, diff cover gasket) - Clutch master, slave, SS clutch hose - New front and rear Spax tube shock kits - New water pump, radiator, thermostat, all cooling hoses - Pertronix ignition kit and coil, plugs, cap and rotor - R&R carbs - New door and hatch seals - Side cover gaskets, oil pan gasket - New engine mounts, exhaust gaskets - And more (full receipts available upon request) This car has been properly gone through and runs like a top. It is a consignment for us, but the owner is ready to move it and is offering it up at no reserve or a Buy It Now of $14,000. If a buyer purchases it at full price, the stock wheels and a spare 5-speed overdrive transmission (buyer responsible for shipping of transmission) will be included. Good luck! And please contact us for additional questions about the car or specific photos.
