A very tidy classic British roadster that is finished in a beautiful Clipper Blue over a fabulous Tan leather interior. a 1,250cc 4-cylinder engine with 4-speed manual transmission. All paint, chrome, brightwork, upholstery and trim show famously. Notable features include a folding windscreen, turn signals, electric wipers, driver side-view mirror, dash-mounted rearview mirror, chrome exhaust tip, front and rear bumper over riders, and full original instrumentation. The car rides on original wheels with original polished hubcaps, plus a matching trunk-mounted spare. MG delivers a pure British driving experience and this TD is an exceptional example. This car runs beautifully and is a joy to drive. The cleanliness of the undercarriage displays the high level of care provided by its previous MG enthusiast owner. Everything from the wooden frame, to the brake and fuel lines, suspension components, horns and steering components are in all in excellent condition and show to a very high standard.
The MG does have rack and pinion steering, which for its time was a superb offering --- and was a big improvement over the reins and stirrups that were in use just a few years earlier. Because there are no controls, ergonomics are superb. The few switches that do exist are right where they should be, because there's plenty of room on the dashboard for controls and amenities that will only come decades later.
