1971 Morris Mini Cooper RHD Classic Mini
Description
Up for bid is a RHD Morris Mini Cooper that was imported from England in 2004 as a "rebodyed"car with 83K miles and was titled as a 1971 model. I bought it from the importer with a valid Colorado title and I believe the 1275cc motor and tranny were rebuilt as the motor runs great, oil stays clean between changes, the tranny shifts perfectly and the clutch is strong. In the 12 years I have owned it I have driven it about 17K miles on the highway and around town. It has no trouble keeping up with traffic on the interstate at 75 mph or more. It now has 100500 miles and can be driven anywhere. Has always been garage kept.
The floors are original and solid. The rocker panels and one door bottom have been replaced. Jack points are solid. The white roof is original paint. The red has been repainted and included is more than a quart of that color. There are some paint bubbles above the left headlight. See picture.
The front seats are aftermarket buckets that hold you in a fast turn and the front and back seats have been reupholstered to match. Headliner is new. AM/FM with tape player.
It also has power disc brakes, large tail lights and tach like the later models.
