1991 Mitsubishi Montero 4WD 3.0 V6 Runs and Drives. 4-Door Pajero
Description
1991 Mitsubishi Montero.
Last year of the 1st generation Mitsubishi Montero. Same chassis as the Dodge Raider and Mitsubishi Pajero
Don't see many of these 1st Gen Monteros anymore.
3.0 liter fuel-injected V6.
Automatic Transmission
Part time Transfer case (2wd Hi, 4wd hi, 4wd low range)
Automatic locking hubs up front.
No leaks.
Transmission shifts through all the gears as it should.
New fan & alternator belt, A/C compressor belt, and power steering belt.
New spark plugs and spark plug wires.
New fuel filter.
Recently replaced Alternator.
New Air filter
New gutter mount roof rack.
Power windows all work as they should.
33x12.50 BF Goodrich All Terrain Tires on the stock steel wheels that have been media blasted and powder-coated an Anodized Bronze color. Powder-coating is far superior to the typical spray painting that's typically found in most vehicles wheels.
One tire is a different brand with less tread.
Tires rub on the sway bar slightly at full lock, doesn't hinder daily driving. Some small wheel spacers would cure this issue.
Has rust starting behind the rear wheels and small spots on the bottom of the rocker panel. Also some rust on inner fender wells up front and above rear wheels. Has dents on hood and roof from run in with deer but did not damage the grill or bumper or any structural damage.
Interior is in decent shape for its age. Small tear in driver seat, and in rear door panel. Other than that it's got some stains and marks from normal use that could be cleaned away. Headliner is in great condition. The rear windows and door locks recently stopped working, probably due to a loose connection as the window motors all move quickly. A/C blows moderately cold but could use a recharge. Fuel Pump wired to a toggle switch as well.
Recently developed a slight hesitation or stumble after you let off the throttle. Compression check checked out good with between 150-160 across all 6 Cylinders. More than likely it's ignition timing related or Idle Air Control Valve.
Has an exhaust leak, and will probably need tie rods at some point. Brakes could use bled.
Car runs and drives and stops.
I try to be as specific and as detailed in the listing and in the pictures as to not surprise any potential buyers. Feel free to ask any additional questions.
