1957 AMC Nash Rambler Rebel
Description
This 1957 Rambler was inherited from a relative in Nevada. I had the car shipped to NY in December. The car was always stored indoors and babied, since he bought it in 2004. I don't know much about these cars. I have about 70 miles on it and have never had so many looks, or people taking photos and videosof any car I have owned. A conversation piece at every traffic light, gas station and parking lot. I took the car to my trusted (classic car) shop to make sure everything is in good working order. I have about 25 hours invested in a tune up, oil change, check/change fluids as needed, make sure accessories, lights work and and a professional detailing. It appears the car has new brakes, fuel pump and master cylinder based on used parts I found in a box. It passed inspection, most accessories work, even the tube radio, and it looks really good.
This is a description of the car from the previous owner:
"Nash Rambler Rebel 327 AMC with 3 speed manual(on the column) transmission. One of 1500 produced with 6 registered in the Nash Club of America."
The seats and carpeting have been redone and the headliner is new. The car has some scrapes and chips, but good meta, rust free body all around. I have a pint of touch up pant, Atlas green, that came with the car. There is no handle on the outside of the rear doors, they do open and there is a handle on the inside, giving a sleek look to the body. The engine sounds awesome through the dual exhaust. The 327 pulls nicely and it is a real cruiser in 3rd gear. The 3 on the tree is a blast to drive, that is how I learned to drive a manual. This is 1950's Americana at its best!
Clear New York title, located in Port Washington NY.
Car will be listed in multiple locations
I have a reliable shipper that is reasonably priced, and can move the car quickly and safely.
