Description
This is a 1959 Metropolitan Coupe which we have owned for several years. Much has been done in 2018 and 2019 to bring it into very presentable condition. I am a private seller and the title is clean and in my name. Much new has been done including new paint in April of 2019 in correct factory colors of black and white using correct paint codes. The body is straight with no rust. Many of the chrome trim pieces have been replaced with new or polished.Whats New?-The gas tank is brand new- All new brakes front and rear with new wheel cylinders and new master cylinder(professionally installed)- New rear shocks- All new interior which includes front and rear seats in factory correct pattern, new carpet, new headliner.- New starter- New fuel pump- New rubber weatherstripping on may pieces.- New chrome grill surround-New paintlots of miscellaneous parts have been purchased and installed as well but too numerous to mention. The overall condition of the car is good as it is not in show concourse condition but would compare most favorable with other Metropolitans. It looks very clean. Tires are excellent as is hubcaps. The car is listed as a Nash Metropolitan but in 1957 Nash sold to seperate holding company and all Metropolitans henceforth were known and titled as Metropolitan. This is a 1959 which is the first year of the trunk lid.It is missing the door key lock on both sides but the button works fine to open the doors. The motor has excellent compression and does not smoke. The total miles are unknown as I cannot trace the car back to the original owner. The speedo indicates 34,567. We purchased this car in Central California five years ago from the second owner. I have lots of receipt, manuals and some extra parts to go with the car.The buyer is responsible to arrange shipping but I will be happy to assist the shipper load the vehicle. I would like to have the car removed within 15 days of auction end but will be happy to extend the period with prior arrangement. The car is currently stored indoors in a locked facility. There is a $500 deposit required within 24 hours of auction end with the balance due in cash or wire transfer within seven (7) days for auction end. The title will be delivered along with all paperwork upon receipt of funds. As I am not a dealer and this is a used car There Is NO WARRANTY EITHER EXPRESSED OR IMPLIED. I have tried to describe the car accurately and to the best of my ability.Thank you for looking at this nice Metropolitan.
