1955 Nash Cross Country
Description
This has been an ongoing project for the last 16 years and I'm just not feeling like finishing it. 1 pic is the car when I brought it home. No serious body rust but floor pans were gone. They have been repaired with steel and fiberglass . They are strong and look good.
This is a Pinninfarina bodied 1955 cross country.300 were produced and I think there are less than 10 still around. The motor and trans are low mileage 1978 Nissan 280z . I chose this driveline because it actually fit. This Nash is a uniibody so to use a large V-8 would have required a sub frame.
Rear end is 72 Mustang as are the wheels. Runs great but has front end shimmy at 45 mph. The steering is tight and seems fine but I have never had it aligned, the interior needs work and there are a lot of small details to finish. Th, lights work and it's currently licensed with pink in hand and other than the front end shimmy it is very drivable.
If you want to check it out text me.If you like it and want all the details. Lets talk.
Not interested in trading. Price is firm. If you'd like extra pics of motor, rar end etc. let me know. This is listed in many So. Cal Craigslist areas. If it sells before the auction closes I will end the auction. This is not junk. I am a retired machinist and I have fabricated every part that was not usable from the Nash or the Mustang but it is a project car and as such it will need a lot of interior work because I have made it comfortable to drive but only to a minimum and there are many small details finished.
