Description

For sale here is a very stylish and very cute little 1958 Nash Metropolitan. These little cars are the cutest things driving around. They're small, but have a surprising amount of room for the driver and front passenger. I'm 6'4" and I have plenty of room driving the car. The car runs and drives great. The 3-speed manual shifts well and the car has good brakes. The engine sounds smooth and the exhaust is quiet. Very recently, the car has had the following done: new brakes, 6 new wheel cylinders. new brake hoses, new heater hoses, generator, plug wires, clutch, fuel tank boiled and lined, new exhaust, carb rebuilt, spin-on oil filter. Almost everything on this little gem works! The wipers work. The heat and defrost blow. Choke works. Speedometer and odometer work. (speedo was replaced so mileage is not actual). Fuel gauge reads a little low for some reason. Horn works. All turn signals work, front and rear, and so does the green blinking light on the dash. Radio works well. Headlights and high beams work. The green dash indicator for the high beams works. The ebrake holds the car. Windows work. The doors and hood open and shut well. The key works for the glove box and rear trunk storage. Fairly new glove box also. The amber and red dash lights light up. Brake lights work and tail lights work when headlights are on. Both door locks work. The only thing not working that I know of is the cigarette lighter. (shouldn't be smoking anyway). The body of this cute little cruiser is in very good shape. The interior is in great condition as well. The seats are comfortable and the car rides nicely. The dash, door panels, headliner, carpet, and seats are good. One little defect in the driver's seat to repair. The radial tires are fairly new and have a lot of tread. The original Nash hubcaps and beauty rings are in great shape. The rear curved glass is nice. The original jack and tire iron are included. The underside is solid as well an you can see that in the photos. The bumpers are solid and the chrome is decent. The paint is very good for a driver. The body is straight. All lenses are good. The stainless is pretty good and all there. Overall, this very nice little 1958 Metropolitan is a very good cruiser and gets a lot of waves and comments. Its great for 2 adults and 2 kids in the back. Jump right in and buz around town in this cute little '58 Metro. A guy who knows Metropolitans said these get around 25+ MPG. BONUS. Please feel free to ask questions. Car is sold in as-is condition. Inspection is available.
