Some history about that rare car, 20 000 produced and only sold to Japan, the-y had to organise a lottery to fulfill all potential buyers.

The Figaro has a very interesting and quirky history. Referred to as a ‘retro fashion car,’ it was born out of the Japanese ’boutique’ movement in car design. Japanese designerShoji Takahashiwas inspired by Swatch watches – the notion that it was possible to give identical products different casings.

Around 1988 the magpies of the Figaro design team took all the best and shiniest bits from a variety of European cars and fused them into an almost-cartoon whole. There’s something there to remind you of just about every classic car you have ever seen. An Austin Healey specialist provided the grille, a Vauxhall one the chrome and some panels are Ford Popular, others vintage Routes. Owners may become used to pensioners approaching to say ‘I had one of those in the sixties!’

I bought this car to a French estate agent, he was running two agencies one in Paris and the other in London, I dealt with his chauffeur and only saw him when I got the car for my wife's birthday a few years ago.

As you can see the car is in very good shape, tires, brakes, engine all is working perfectly, I recently replaced the battery and I sell it because we don't drive it much, may be 500 miles every year !!

The hood so is the upholstery and carpeting are in very good condition.

I have been recently done the brakes, it has some upgrades like the rear fog light and, an air-condition service and the radio fitted with a part so it can play other than Japanese radios.

This car has been cherished.
