Description

For sale is my 1967 Nissan Patrol, L60 Series. Nissan imported this model to the US from 1960-1969, and these are well-built, versatile vehicles. This example is a short wheelbase 2-door, powered byit's original4.0 liter, 145 HP, in-line six cylinder gasoline engine and 3-speed manual transmission. A twin-stick (2WD/4WD and High Range/Low Range) transfer case handles all types of terrain and conditions.Equipped with locking front hubs, manual steering, and manual drum brakes. The front windshield can fold down and secure, the doors can be removed as shown (doors included, arm rests and pull handles included but not installed), and the utility cargo bed/tailgate doors are also removable. Max speed is in the 55-60 mph range.
Truck starts right up, no issues with clutch, shifting, Wiper motorsand heater blower work, butare not connected. Manual choke. All factory gauges work except fuel gauge, so under dash fuel gaugehas beeninstalled. All lights work. New battery. Swing-away spare tire carrier.I do not have the rear seats and THERE IS NO HARD TOP OR SOFT TOP INCLUDED IN THIS SALE.
One unique and practical feature of this model Patrol is that the engine can also be started manually with a hand crank (included, it's shown in the picture of the utility cargo bed). Great feature for off-roading, infrequent use.
The paint is an epoxy, almond in color with a satin finish. It's functional, but has imperfections. The body is very solid, has some minor dents and dings, but overall this vehicle is in better than average condition for it's age. My intention was to use this back and forth to work a couple times a week, and for the beach, but I am out of garage space and unfortunately need to sell.
I am not an expert on Patrols, but it appears the only non-stock parts on this vehicle are the wheels (33 x 12.5 x 15 tires on chrome rims), the aftermarket fender flares, a Rochester carburetor, a newer alternator (original generator and mount comes with vehicle), an electric fuel pump, fuel gauge, and new seat belts.
I would consider this Patrol a very solid vehicle and a great candidate for a full restoration, or use it as is for the beach, the cabin, hunting, etc. This vehicle will appreciate in value, I consider it to be on par with FJ40's and early Bronco's in terms of robustness, build quality, functionality.I've seen theseon eBayin the $35k-$45k range fully restored. A little bodywork, nice paint and a few parts and this Patrol would sit well with the best of them.
I haven't driven this vehicle much, soI would recommend a tune up,brake bleeding/inspection and an alignment prior to use.
I have set a modest opening bid with no reserve, I do have this vehicle for sale locally and reserve the right to end this auction early. Good luck and happy bidding!
