Description
1968 Oldsmobile 442 Convertible Tribute Car, with Air condition.
Car is a Beautiful above "driver quality" car that can go anywhere and gets 21 mpg around town. Top down summer months are coming. Recent trip in sept 2016 was NY - VA - GA - FLA - SC - VA - NY- 3300 miles round trip without a hiccup and average was 75 mph @ 2200 rpm on tachometer and 24 mpg. This car is not for the Original numbers matching gang but for the pure driver that enjoys driving. Have all receipts for everything that was done and I'm sure there is a few items I forgot to mention. Needs nothing.
Engine:
Has 5.3L LS SWAP chevy motor with upgraded Comps .581 lift, 220 220 duration cam, upgraded PAC valve springs, keepers and valve guides. Motor was done last summer. 400 HP- runs nice. Smooth clutch. The front end accessory drive kit, water pump and alternator are new. Has brand new Holley 650 cfm - 4150 style double pumper with electric choke. Edelbrock dual plane LS manifold with MSD 6LS #6010 ignition controller. Billet ACC Machine Tech Catch can. Car has an updated Borgeson variable steering box and new rag joint. Flex-a-lite low profile dual 12" fans - 2500 cfm. New AC condenser. New Vintage Air AC compressor and custom bracket. New wiper motor.
Body:
Just painted in Sept 2016 with painted vertical stripes (not stickers) and new 442 badging all around with new side marker, light bezels and lenses. BASF water born paint with Glasurit clear coat. Under carriage sprayed, not a hint of rust anywhere. Convertible Top is 3 years old and in mint condition, no rips. Hydraulic cylinders replaced 6 months ago. New Headlight housings and 442 front grill. Updated headlights H4 with new harness and relays. New 442 cutout bumper with new trumpets. BRM 1" lowering springs in front and new OEM stock rear springs.12 bolt open rear with 3:23 rear gears. New external and extremely quiet Carter electric fuel pump and Holley fuel pressure regulator. 6 month old Vision wheels and Goodyear rubber, 275/60/15 rear and 215/70/15 front. Windows tinted Sept 2016.
Interior:
Interior is in beautiful shape - no rips of any kind- 90 out of 100 as far as condition. Rug replaced 2-3 years ago and in great shape. New steering wheel and horn button. Custom (made in America)- SpeedHut gauges with 442 red stripe graphics. Innovate Digital MTX-L Air/Fuel Ratio Gauge for fine tuning performance. New kick panel speakers and 2 new speakers in rear with amplifier.
Exhaust:
Hooker LS Black Headers 1.75" primary tubes with 3 " collectors part # 2289HKR- to a full custom 2.5" exhaust system. New Magnaflow hi flow welded mufflers.
Transmission:
Tremec 600 -5 speed with upgrade Carbon Fiber Lined Synchros for smooth high rpm shift to assure no missed shifts and White Lightning short throw shifter mechanism. Custom made 442 shifter ball and classic Hurst shifter handle and custom console by Classics Console in GA.
Clutch:
American Powertrain SF 1126 Stage 1 Super street clutch rated to 475 ft lbs. New Bell Housing, Aluminum/Titanium LS, GM TKO/Muncie.
