1961 Oldsmobile Dynamic 88 2 Door Post Roof car...impala, biscayne, wildcat

It doesn't get much more unique than this 1961 Oldsmobile Dynamic 88 2 door post roof car. VERY RARE model/roof on this car.....it is estimated that there were maybe 10 cars with this roof. The hardtop version was much more common in the 2 door body configuration. I have seen 2 pictures of other cars with this roof in all the years I have spent researching it. None of the die-hard Oldsmobile guys have ever seen one. Quite the unusual spec on this car too....it's a stripped down car....radio delete, no reverse lights but it does have power brakes.
This car has traveled 81,400 miles. NO RUST ever. When I bought it, it had been lightly restored....paint, chrome, etc. Interior is original, engine appears original(paint). I purchased it with the air ride system installed....very easy to use and it gives it a very nice stance. Car runs like a dream....idles so smoothly you'll forget it's running.
The small details on this car are amazing....this is the epitome of Jet-Age inspired design...I still find neat little things on it every time I drive it. I taken a lot of cars to shows over the years....I can't recall one getting this much attention. Seems to win a trophy every time.
Car is 56 years old so there are obviously some small things that need attention(some small interior items). There is a stereo in the glove box(somebody cared enough to not cut the dash on this car!). Runs, drives, stops excellent(excellent considering it's age). EVERY singe light bulb functions. This is really a perfect example of a lightly restored original car.....perfect cruising car for those summer shows! Guaranteed you will be the only Dynamic 88 post roof car there!
