This car has fresh new base coat/clear coat paint. There is not a chip or a scratch or dent in this paint and body. The 6 cylinder motor has been rebuilt and starts on the first or second time you turn the key. The transmission has been rebuilt by a local older transmission specialist that knows these cars. The interior upholstery is brand new (See Pictures.) All of the original metal moldings and dash in the interior of the car have been repainted in the original wood grain look. It is tough to find the guys that can still do this kind of work. The interior is terrific. The headliner is new and has been replaced.
This started out as a very clean original car. HAVE DOCUMENTATION ON ORIGINAL OWNER AND HISTORY. All original metal trim has been repainted with original wood grain design. All gauges work. Speedometer does not work. We had a 1948 oldsmobile donor car to use the best parts during the restoration. This car is remarkable and needs very little.
All chrome trim is near perfect with no dents in any stainless trim. This is amazing!!! The body trim pieces are near perfect. Car runs like new. Very smooth running motor. The tires are new and are the original type wide white walls and the tires are bias tires. Drives just like it should. Bumpers have been re-chromed. The rear right side bumper needs to be re-done.Car comes with some extra parts. Need to install window crank handle on right door.
The engine bay is a bit dusty. It will clean up and sparkle. I will detail and send pictures of the engine compartment upon request. The car has been sitting for a few years and has been driven sparingly. The mileage since restoration is less than 500 miles.

I have spend a few hours driving this car around town over the last few days. The engine starts up on the first try. The engine idles and runs like new. The Transmission shifts just like it is suppose to. Every where I go, people are coming up and talking to me about how awesome this car looks. All of the gauges work. The car drives straight. It is a great deal of fun.

On Jul-27-17 at 08:51:33 PDT, seller added the following information:Here is some helpful info on the car from an eBay member: Just for your information, a "business coupe" has no rear seat. That's where a salesman would load their packages. The 48 Olds business coupe was the coupe with a trunk, in a notch back form, not the fastback you have. Your car is called a "Club Sedan" Good luck, beautiful car. Duane
Here is some additional info from some questions that have been asked:
The window crank on the passenger door just need to be snapped on. I am almost positive that I have the handle.
I do not know what is wrong with the Speedometer. The Gas Gauge works, The Generator/Charging gauge works, the Oil Pressure gauge works.
The parking brakes does work. The handle is a bit stiff but it works fine. I will look at putting some lube on the parking brake handle parts.
The transmission shifts like it should. It works great. As mentioned, it has been rebuilt.
The engine starts right up and runs just fine. I drove it yesterday for 2 hours in 95 F degree weather.
The paint job on this car is remarkable. Really stunning. I got no less than 30 compliments from other drivers on the road yesterday. I even had 2 people asked me to stop so they could take pictures. The paint was done a few years ago. Some people have asked about bondo, and rust. Nothing has come through. And, remember, the owners had an extra car to pick body pieces and mechanical parts from.
I hope this info helps. Please call if you have any questions. Robb Taylor
