Description

'69 CA Olds Cutlass Sport Coupe by Orig Owner

CALIFORNIA CAR, ORIGINAL OWNER, NO RUST, BEST ORIGINAL CONDITION

(You will not see a car this good without $60k in resto expenditure. Most 442's are hashed resto's, often a rebadged Cutlass in wrong body style.)

This is a 1969 Cutlass S 2-dr Hardtop with Bucket Seats, Shift Console, Yellow w/Black vinyl roof, Owned since New, December 1968. ~128k miles.
{this body model is the same as 442 - only badges & hubcaps change.

NOTE for 442 restore-interested, you will never have a car this good for less than $50-75k;this car plus the $1500 for badges, rims, etc will cost you far less than half that - and you will have a great vehicle, not some cobbled unit.}
All original body, orig paint & vinyl roof. Engine mods: Edelbrock Intake, Holly 4bbl, Hebert Cam. Oversized front swaybar, rear swaybar, HD springs. Original TH300 2spd trans replaced @ 93k miles with TH350. PS, PB. (no AC - a SF car)
Interior is black and as close to PERFECT (except for faded back window shelf) as you'll see. Rear Window Defroster. [driver's seat cover used for protection of seat and driver's bum from hot black vinyl, keeping the D seat near new.] Original AM radio (8-track tape player stolen in '71)
HISTORY:
Car bought from Story Oldsmobile, Lansing MI [world's largest Olds dealer] and driven to San Francisco upon owner's graduation from UofM in Dec. 1968. Car kept under cover in SF for 20+ years. In mid-70's car was used as a town-driver with only short cross-bay freeway runs. In late 80's, some CA pre-teens advised that it had turned the corner on cool factor, and it was brought to my body man [had 5 cars at the time] and had the bashes & dings taken out and touched. Paint, as pics show, is brilliant. In 1993, car was moved to Upper Peninsula of MI for storage when owner re-located to Europe for 10 years. Car has been driven an average of 250 mi each summer since, spending remaining time in proper storage on jackstands. Currently being used as daily driver for Jul, Aug of '17, until '75 Blazer back on road.
Car is in excellent running condition, engine strong, compression near factory, as all synthetic lubricants were used.
