Description

1979 Oldsmobile Cutlass Calais Hurst Olds W-30 • Real “R” code 2,499 built• 350 – 350 trans – Hurst dual gate shifter• Power steering – power brakes – Tilt Steering• Factory air• 47,700 to believed actual miles - has set since around 1993• Was purchased by a James Deal –see dash plate – Savannah Georgia- special dealer order• MOSTLY AN ORIGINAL SURVIVOR BARN FIND Original lacquer paint AND WAS A DEALER option with bottom side stripes
RUNS ABSOLUTELY GOODNo smoke-No leaks-Smooth Ride-Shifts Great-Stops perfectly. Drive a lot on road, to work- car shows - NOT A YARD DRIVER!!!!!Replaced • All fluids and gaskets• Front brakes• Alternator• All belts• Plugs and Wires• All hoses• Master brake cylinder• New tires and balanced Interior is ridiculously good for sitting since around 1993.INTERIOR. Replaced only headliner cloth. No rips in seats or door panels or carpet ORIGINAL. Steering wheel no cracks. Side seat pieces in great shape which those are usually busted. No dry rot on interior edge pieces. Dash has just little cracks at back top which I repaired some.EXTERIOR is really straight and good for a survivor car. Small rust through on back trunk edge which is typical. NO RUST through on rest of car. Super solid trunk, wheel wells, floor boards. Good chrome. Bumper got bumped at one point pushing into very back rear quarter edge. Original lacquer paint car that’s really good for a survivor. I just wet sanded it, clear coat some for a shine. Will need bumper filler pieces in the front, maybe the back corners. All lights work.Issues • Coolant bottle (missing)• Clock (seconds turn but minutes and hours don’t)• Air charged Bumper Filler Pieces• Gas tank sending unit (gauge pegs past full)• Maybe dash circuit board, speedometer works, oil pressure works, volts work, just temp gauge and gas gauge are pinned• Small manifold leak needs donut gasketTHIS CAR RUNS SUPER WELL and would drive probably to many states. Finish it off or keep running it as an original survivor which has been popular these days.A $250 deposit is required in PayPal within 48 hours of auction ending. The rest in cash or reputable bank cashier’s check only before pickup. Buyer responsible for pickup.
