1970 Oldsmobile Cutlass Coupe 442 Tribute
Description
For sale is a 1970 Cutlass 442 TRIBUTE! This is not an original 442. It has 442 badging and a 455 Big Block, 650 Holley double pump, Edlebrock performance intake manifold, 400 transmission, 12bolt position rear end and stock exhaust manifolds. The interior is brand new in Hot Red, (seats,(bench with folding armrest), door panels, headliner and dash. The engine was recently rebuilt, not by me. I recently took this car in trade. The fuel system is new (tank and sending unit), the wheels (22 inch) and tires are new and were painted to match the color of the car which is a dark metallic gun metal grey, which looks black absent of light. The car needs a mechanic! Not for the drive train but a few minor things that need to be addressed before this can become a daily driver. The rear drivers side brake drum needs adjusting ( i don't do brakes or I would have), the windshield wipers don"t operate????? The dash lights do not work?? installed a 3 pod gauge (oil pressure, water temp and battery) all of which are fine., however the gas gauge and in dash tach do not work?? I can see the wires from the tach, they are simply not connected??The paint is awesome........from 20 feet!!!! it has been wet sanded and buffed and it is as good as it's going to get with out a re-paint. it has dual spots, crows feet and generally wasn't done very well. My guess is the prep work was lacking.
All in all it's a nice car for the price. This is a no reserve auction with the car going to the highest bidder. i do have a Ga title. The car does drive but i would not suggest it with a brake issue. The stereo system is an older CD/USB/Bluetooth system with a 1000 watt amp and very comparable speakers to match. Two 6X9's in back windo, 2 12" woofers in the trunk and a couple of nice 6" speakers up front. The interior is impressive, the engine is strong, brand new battery, all windows roll up nice and tight seal as do the doors close well. The key fob has electric door locks that also need adjusting. That's pretty much it......it is what it is, if it was more it would cost more.
