Description

This is a 5 day NO RESERVE auction for a 1971 Olds Cutlass Supreme Convertible. 350 V-8, 2 BBL, Automatic Trans, Power Steering. We acquiredthis car a few years ago and never got around to doing anything with it. I have a few vehicles that have been sitting for some time now and its time to weed them out. I have a little over $4,000 in this car but it is going to be sold to the highest bidder regardless of price. My loss is your gain. The car needs the typical restoration but can be saved or would be a treasure trove of parts. Many of these parts will interchange with other GM models 1968 to 1972. Chevelle, Pontiac Lemans and Skylark are basically all the same. I am starting the car at what I feel the convertible top section, Glass, Interior parts specific to convertible, etc are worth. The car runs, drives and stops. The motor runs well but on initial start it smokes excessively. After a few minuet warm up it tends to clear out. I am sure the valve guide seals are gone. Transmission shifts smoothly. When we first got the car we took it on a 15 minuet drive and surprisinglywent down the road real good. The outside body shell has had some repair over the rear wheel wells. Drivers side floor pan has a patch and the brace area in the middle of the floor on both sides is rusted through. Trunk pan is actually quite nice with the exception on one small rust crack. The frame has had some small patches up front on both sides and on the flat spot just before the curve on the rear. The boxes are still good and solid. This does not compromise the stability of the car. The doors still open and close great and the gap is fine. If you don't mind patching it up and making it better. You could fix the car. There are (4) good radial tires, power top is in decent shape and still works. Don't want to sugar coat anything, it is what it is. Could be your next project or just part it out. Battery is not included. We do also have a beautiful running 350 Olds Motor of the same vintage and a 455 Olds Motor that we would sell for an additional cost.We require a $500 dollar non refundable deposit to be paid at the end of the auction and balance to be paid within 3 days of auctions end. If you intend to bid, please be serious and ask all questions before auctions end. I am selling this on a dealer bill of sale. If you need a title in your state I will register the car and transfer all the paper work to you for a title. It will be an extra $200 should you needs this service. If you need more info or pics feel free to call or email us at 207-324-5568 days or 207-432-2862 eves and Sundays.
