1973 Oldsmobile Cutlass Supreme 455 turbo 400 all original rust free car. The odometer reads 87k,I cannot verify if original or not, It sure seems like it but I am selling this as miles unknown.I purchased this car last month from the second owner,needs a new vinyl top (was removed to inspect metal) The body is completely straight except for small dent on drivers door and small crease before the l/r wheelwell No bondo ORIGINAL PAINT LIGHT SURFACE RUST ON TOP OF BODY ONLY,OTHERWISE RUST FREE CALIFORNIA CAR NO CANCER OR ROT. My plan was to paint it,replace vinyl top,carpet and drivers seat cover, Then the car would look 5 years old. I came across a Hot Rod I have always wanted 3 days after I purchased the Olds.I can only keep one.
Body: Original paint, No rust bubbles,rot,or cancer anywere, just light surface rust on top, sands off easy could probably use a s.o.s pad( See pictures) ALL Stainless trim excellent,from bumper nice chrome for age,rear bumper some light pitting by tail lamps. Trunk nice with original spare rallye rim'
Interior: Carpet worn on entry door sill drivers side, Drivers seat needs to be redone
The rest of the interior is excellent no dash cracks,headliner looks new as well as the rear shelf,wood grain is shiny, trim excellent,gauges Door panels,rear seat and passenger nice, hard to believe its original but it is.
Engine: 455 big block runs like a sewing machine,no lifter noise no engine noise,drove it for a hour yesterday and parked on my driveway over night with cardboard under it,no leaks from drivetrainhas original smog still hooked up,1974 and older in California is smog exempt.I going to remove to wake it up a bit, Has dual exhaust,sounds like an Olds should.
Transmission: rebuilt Turbo 400, Have receipts no leaks.clean. Console shift.Brake master,fuel pump,Radiator have been replacedBrakes are good,Power door locks,Roll up windows,Tiltfront bumper filler sun faded,paint worn offhas aftermarket water temp gaugesuspension is tight,drives well,could use newer shocksNeeds work: A/C INOP looks like the last owner removed the A/C belt to run the new fuel pump line, I rerouted the line and put on a new belt,system is complet, clutch is not frozen,have not charged system to check because no time retrofit for the newer freon.Cruise control inop but light goes on,appears to have a vacuum line missing,no time to diagnose.AM/FM radio has great reception.sometime you have to fiddle with the tuning knob,no cassette option. clock works if you touch the setting knob,probably needs to be cleaned,no time to diagnose' I have factory manuals that are included.
