1956 Olds Super Eighty-Eight - RUST FREE - ONE OWNER - ORIGINAL - CLEAN TITLE
Description
NEW ARRIVAL !NO RESERVE !!!
One owner, all original & unbelievably solid !According to key points on the car, the mileage appears to be accurate. Original owner confirms !
I bought this car with every intention of flipping it, it's growing on me though.I'm half tempted to build it myself, it's such a wonderful candidate.
Before we get into all the good stuff, you need to know that the engine is frozen. The heads have not been taken off of it yet ! You get to be the first to investigate.
No obvious damage to the exterior of block (i.e. no thrown rod(s)
(If you are NOT interested in the engine, I'm willing to gamble $200 to buy it back.)
It doesn't appear to have ever been hit & I can't find any rust in the body, nor damage to the chassis. Some moderate surface rust on the bumpers & some parking lot dings are all I see. This is a legit Southern California "High Desert" car. They don't get any more solid than this !
It has some dents here & there, a little filler, but the backs of the panels are nice.I took close ups of the worst area (drivers rear)
You won't be disappointed.
Most everything appears to be there.
Any trim, or side windows not shown attached to the body is most likely in the trunk, or inside the car.
It's in pretty nice shape too. A few of the pieces need attention, the rest is extremely nice. Just needs a polish. (It's stainless, NOT chrome)
The seats need to be re-done of course, but all the hard parts are there & the dash is complete with extra radios.I've taken an inventory of the parts I see are missing...
*No windshield - no door latches - no antenna - no headlight retainers - no door, or trunk locks - no starter
It's a pretty short list. I will add to it if need be.I will contact the previous owner to see if maybe he missed a box as well.(*note: The license plates on the car do NOT match the paperwork, therefore will not be included with the car)
It rolls freely & turns, tires hold air & are in nice shape so it can be pushed easily &/or loaded easily with a winch.I can help logistically, with loading, etc. but as usual, shipping costs are to be paid by the purchaser. It's on non-op (no fees) The title was misplaced, but the paperwork is the same form & ready to go. (see pic)
It's still in the original owner's name. No extra fees or anything.
Now that I've almost talked myself into building it, let's see what happens.I got a decent deal on it, so bidding will start at $3500
I'll be happy to answer any questions you may have & I like to take photos, so don't hesitate to ask for more.Remember, bidding is equivalent to entering into a contract, so please ask any questions before doing so. Thank you & good luck !
International buyers welcome !
