1963 Oldsmobile Starfire barn find one owner car
Description
1963 Oldsmobile Starfire, one owner car, all original (with exception of what we just recently replaced) with original paint, upholstery, etc.. The daughterof the parents who originally purchasedthis car, hired us to pull it out of the barn where their father parked it in 1982, when they purchased a new station wagon. It sat there until Nov 2016, when we pulled it out of hibernation after 34 years. Unfortunately, the mother became ill, and we ended up purchasing it. Things we just completed;Replaced the water pump, brand new re-cored radiator and heater core, all new tune up parts, belts and hoses, rebuilt fuel pump, rebuilt mater cylinder, all new hard and soft brake lines, all new brake shoes, wheel cylinders, wheel bearings repacked, brake drums turned, all new shocks, new dual exhaust from exhaust manifoldsback, all 5 steel wheels prepped and painted with 5 new tires installed. New valve seals and valve cover gaskets, new thermostat. This Starfire is equipped with a 394 V8, factory bucket seat car with center console automatic, factory console mounted tach (works), tilt steering wheel, factoryposi traction rear, all lights work as they should, horn, fan motor, AM radio, opera lights, all work! Power steering, but was ordered with no power windows or AC, which is probably a little rarer than most, as the majority of them were ordered with power windowsand AC. Rear bumper was tagged on the driver side corner, and pushed into the body where it has a very small crease, pics show it. Rear bumper also has a weak spot, but fine if not restoring. All windows roll up and down just as they should, and all glass is great. Trim on the passenger side fender has a minor crease. I've found no body panel repair, as this Starfire is bondo free.Interior is all original, but headliner is dry rotted, and the drivers side seat has a tear. Still has its original Oldsmobile floor mats, and an originalOldsmobile vanity mirror. Has the original 1963 Starfire owners manual mounted in the original slot of the glove box door. Trunk is fully carpeted and still has its original tire jack. Rememberthough, this car is almost 54 years old and found in a barn.If your into original, survivor cars, than this car is for you!I'd like to keep it for myself, but simply can't afford to keep everyone I fall in love with. Good luck and thanks for viewing our auction!
I appreciate all the nice comments and cash offers, but my starting bid is of course what I'll sell it for. Its not very often an original 63 Starfire comes up for sale, one that virtuallyhas no rust, or needs a bunch of body panel work, etc.. If I dont sell it, I'll throw on a set of antique tags, buff it out, and enjoy it this show season.
