1981 Custom Chevy Corvette Phillips Berlina Coupe
Description
The Phillips Berlina is a neo-classic car built in Pompano Beach, Florida in the early 1980s. Debuting in 1980, it was designed by Charles W. Phillips in the style of the 1936 Mercedes-Benz 540K Special Roadster, originally a $250,000 car. It used stretched C3 Chevrolet Corvette underpinnings, coupled to fiberglass bodywork. As for the Corvette, power steering and brakes, powered tinted windows, and tilt steering were fitted...probably the best Berlina setup ever.
With less than 100 Berlina's built between 1980 and 1983, this one is rare and in absolutely amazing shape. Loaded with all the bells and whistles, and setup with a Tuxedo black and white exterior trimming, along with white leather interior with black striping.
Vehicle is in great mechanical shape. It is also equipped with air conditioning. Currently has a little over 50k miles on the chassis; however, it has less than roughly 2000 miles on a complete new re-manufactured 5.7 liter V8. It runs as it should, with maybe very little to make perfect. Tires are like brand new.
