1967 Morris Minor Pickup
Description
You are bidding on a very original 1967 Morris Minor Pickup with one older repaint in the original Almond green color and fitted with a very rare, NOS tan canvas tilt bed cover. The cover can be removed if not in use. Perfect for use as a business advertising vehicle for a British auto repair shop, florist, gardener, antique store, etc.
Overall, this vehicle is in very good driving condition. The vehicle is rust free, and unlike Morris Minor passenger vehicles with unibody construction, all MM pickups and vans have separate rigid frames, with the body bolted/welded on. The MM pickup was typically sold through MG/Morris/BMC dealerships in the USA through 1961, with later years through 1967 by special order. 1967 represents the last year imported into the USA. The Morris Minor Registry is an active US club, and parts are readily available here and from UK sources . This MM pickup has a solid, rust free chassis, body and bed. The paint has minor touch up scratches, but no dents/dings. Mileage is uncertain as the trip odometer does not always work, but appears generally accurate based upon the vehicle's overall condition. Since I have not owned from new, I cannot be certain of the actual mileage.
The original 1098 cc engine and original 4 speed ribcase gearbox (non synchro first gear) perform well. The engine is fitted to a new, factory type exhaust system. The tires evidence minimal wear, while the brakes and electrics function as they should. The seats were re-upholstered in the correct pattern and color as original. Correct new sunvisors are fitted. Overall, this is a very presentable, rust free truck, with a bed capacity of 600 pounds.
