Description

  • Up for Auction is my restored and highly customized 1975 Pinzgauer 710K. I have owned this vehicle for the past 3 years. It is a retired Swiss Army radio truck. It has a total of 43,532mi (70km) and approximately 18,000 miles on the restoration. Has only been off the road a handful of times since the restoration. This is a CA vehicle with absolutely no rust, ever... All original sheetmetal, etc. Paint is gloss black and in excellent "driver" condition.
  • Mechanically, it is in excellent condition. There are absolutely no leaks of any kind from the engine/drivetrain. It has the original engine and transmission. This vehicle runs, starts and drives excellent. It will hold a hwy. speed of 65 to 70 miles per hour with the Maaxis 255/85-16 off road tires on original wheels. Drives really well for a military vehicle and goes down the road straight as and arrow. Maaxis tires have really nice on and off road manners. Biggest tire you can run and still clear the body while offroad, etc. Tires have approx. 2,000 mi. Power assist drum brakes in great condition. Emergency brake works as it should. Manual steering. 2000 hrs run time on the clock. Speedo in km/hr.
  • The engine has been converted to civilian, Bosch ignition, but is otherwise stock. It has hi/lo transfercase and five speed gear box, giving it 10 forward gears and two reverse. Hydraulic 4wd, front and rear lockers work from the center console. Clutch/trasmission/4wd/lockers all works as it should.
  • This truck has many custom features that make it unique. There is a full length custom powerdercoated expedition rack made specifically for this truck and is one of a kind. All DOM tubing. It allows the roof port to open and you can access the roof without having to get out of the vehicle. Padded rear rollers allow easy loading of canoe's, paddle or surf boards, or any other cargo. Ample tie-down spots. Handles have been strategically placed on the rack to allow occupants to get in and out of the vehicle much easier. There are four external slide in arms that allow you to unload your paddle board on the side of the truck, versus the ground. These are removable and mount in a custom holder inside the truck. Ladders are integrated and on both sides of the vehicle and have non slip surfaces. The top is designed to be walked on and used, so a roof top tent is included. It also has a mounting plate for a 10ft. cantilevered umbrella (included). The rack has passengers side custom mounted "Fox Wing" awning. This awning wraps all the way around to the back door and extends 8ft. out. An amazing thing to have for camping. Probably used only 5-6 times. There is also a 4ft. radiused red LED light bar mounted on the front, behind the rack for protection. It is 24V, not 12V, emanating 2X the light (extremely bright)! All wires run inside the tubing. Rack also protects the front glass from tree limbs, etc. Bumpers are custom and have additional bracing and custom rescue skull D-rings. It also has a 24V WARN 8000lb. winch with corded remote.
  • Exterior also has two brand new 5 gallon fuel cans mounted to the rack. The original accessory 5 gallon fuel can is in the stock position, under the vehicle. Rear tire mount has stock rim with brand new matching Maaxis tire, with cover. Saris bike rack holds two bikes and is mounted to the rear tire with a custom bracket. Rear door can still be opened with the bikes onboard and does not block rear window. Mounting position is optimal for offroad traveling. The original military shovel is mounted underneath in the stock position. There are also two aluminum traction boards mounted to the rack. Everythingon the exterior locks to the vehicle with padlocks (same key). Off road extended length jack is custom mounted on the front, behind the rack, directly to the frame. The tops of the doors are bolt on and are removable, if desired.
  • Interior is fully insulated, carpeted with custom gray velour upholstery. All seats and door panels match. All three wire cargo panels, powdercoated black, are there and protect you from moving equipment when offroading. All gauges work as they should, except the fuel gauge, it only starts working at 1/2 tank and down? Has waterproof neoprene seat covers on stock seats. Has a rear bench seat with seat belts that bolts in place behind the front seats. Currently it has a custom, removable rear queen size carpeted bed shelf with 4in. Ikea mattress. Allows ample storage underneath. Multiple LED interior lights. A 12v step down transformer powers USB/Cig. lighter ports. Additional transformer already mounted if more 12V power is needed in the future.
  • Has a Viper car alarm with dual remotes. The front window spray nozzle was ineffective, so dual sprayers were added and a 12V push button electric pump was installed. New wipers. Original military Axe is in place and unused on passengers side. Has the original (restored) gas heater behind the drivers seat. Although I have never used it...
  • Four aftermarket cup holders. Tinted rear windows. All doors and windows lock. Locking gas cap. Compass, phone mount and tilt indicator on dash. Glass in great condition. Stock heater works as it should. Custom rear entry step. Includes two brand new folding chairs. Two brand new batteries (8/2018).
  • This truck was my baby! Countless hours and a lot of money was spent to make this Pinzgauer the perfect extreme camp mobile. This is a one of a kind rig for sure. Everything was built professionally, and was very well thought out ahead of time. It has very good hwy manners and YES it does maintain 65 MPH quite easily while fully loaded, albeit on the flats, hills are another story of coarse... We have taken it on many camping trips over the last 3 years and it has performed flawlessly. It was used weekly for paddle boarding and mt. biking. Everything has been sorted out and is in excellent working order. I have endless pictures and can take video for serious buyers. It is even more amazing in person and gets a lot of attention. Pinzgauer repair manual and a big box of parts go with the truck.
