I took ownership of the car in March of 2017. I have enjoyed the car as a weekend driver during the spring, summer, fall and clear winter days. The car was purchased from a family member of the owner of SSI Motorsports, http://www.ssiauto.com/, in Maryland who owned the car for approximately two years. The prior owner, a retired Maryland public school teacher, owned the car since 2008 and also used the car as a weekend driver. The first owner owner, lived in the Washington DC area where he put the majority of the miles on the car. Apparently, he was a Porsche driving instructor. The car has been fully serviced at SSI Motorsports dating back to at least 2008. I have certainly enjoyed the car, but I need to make room for my son's car as he is now at driving age.
The car is completely stock with no modifications except a new stainless steel muffler (note the pictures). Under my ownership, I have continued to keep the maintenance up to date and have recently replaced the battery. I have also replaced a few items that needed repair. All items are listed in the records. Under previous ownership, at 100,963 miles, a major service was completed by SSI Motorsports which included the timing belt, water pump, front engine seals, various gaskets, power steering pump, oil pan gasket, and many other items.
I consider the car a five to ten footer on the outside, but the car does look so good if you are a Porsche fan! It is a very clean car. There are some scuffs on the bottom of the front spoiler (likely from a curb), there are a few "dings" that look like they were from acorns, the back left panel has a touched up scratch, the top of the headlight has a touched up scratch, the back right wheel well has a small blemish, the wheels have some small chips, but the balance of the car looks solid. The interior is in wonderful shape, especially for its age. The driver seat bolster has some wear, but the of the interior is impressive for this vintage. The tires also have a fair amount of tread left. I would be happy to send additional photos upon request.
The carfax history does have a mileage inaccuracy. On 9/16/2006, the mileage was listed at 98,500. Then a few months later, on 1/12/2007, it is listed at 134,423. I was assured by the previous owner that this was a mistake and service records show the mileage as of 1/28/2009 at 100,963. Currently the car has 105,973 on the odometer given it's mild weekend use over the past ten years.
Please feel free to email me with any questions. The car is being sold as is and $500 deposit via Paypal is required after the auction finishes within 24 hours. I reserve the right to end the auction at any time.
Full payment can be made by wire/ACH, cashiers check or cash in person.
Shipping needs to be arranged by the buyer, but I am fairly flexible regarding arrangements and would be happy to drop the car off at a local pick-up spot within a few miles of my home.
