Late 1960s Meyers Manx 1 Dune Buggy
Description
Selling my Manx Street Buggy project. Just too many (other) things to do.Original Meyers Manx. talked to the Meyers's and verified this. I always intended this build to be a performance street set up. adjustable/lowered suspension, wide wheels and R-compound slicks, upgraded dual carb(s), ignition, exhaust, speedf shifter, disc brakes, etc.
This is being sold all together and as-is. All or none auction.
The body and frame are not a perfect match. The frame is a semi-trailing arm IRS design and a Manx I body is molded to fit a non-IRS Beetle suspension. The fiberglass body can be pretty easily modified to fit that suspension. That's the best of both worlds... Purists would frown upon that but I bought this (originally) to be more of a performance roadster - not a pristine collector's item. Pictures of the body taken when it was wet - it does need a good buffing but is dry and good and ready for any glasswork now.,.
The frame was cut down and floor pans welded in by Volkstech of Burlington, NJ - this is what they do. Also rustproofed.
Almost all parts to complete this are included. some high performance parts and extras offering optional configurations. muffler options, wiring harness, engine upgrades, I even have a $250 Meyers Store gift certificate - included. I think I might only be missing headlights and dual carb linkage. Can't remember - been a few years...

Pictures will tell all. ALL the parts shown are included. I would add more but there's a 24 pic limit. I have tons of stuff... Please ask initial questions via Ebay and I am happy to describe this fully. This thing would be a blast to zip around in...
