Description

For sale is a beautiful 1969 Porsche 911T Coupe which is a matching-numbers example finished in its original combination of Tangerine over black leatherette with an extensive history file going back to the 1970s.
The car was ordered new by Cpt. Schoonhoven of Evergreen, Colorado, who was reportedly the first US pilot certified to fly 747 jets. It was then purchased by a Ms. Parish in the early 1970s, and the prior owner acquired it in 2013.
Factory options included 15″ Fuchs wheels, front/rear stabilizers, 911S instrumentation and oil tank, bumperettes, an antenna, tinted windshield, Becker Europa radio, and Koni shocks.
This 911T is powered by its original 2.0L flat-six engine that has been rebuilt to ‘S’ specifications and paired to the original 5-speed transaxle, as confirmed by an included Certificate of Authenticity.
The car previously underwent a year-long cosmetic restoration bySportscar Collision in Ferndale, Michigan including a compete repaint. A large service file documents this car back to new and includes a copy of the original Kardex and a stamped factory maintenance booklet.
The professional Tangerine repaint shows nicely throughout with one small dent on the rear decklid. Some spareDitzler PPG 60541 Tangerine paint is included in the sale. The Porsche has been upgraded with Bosch H4 headlamps, and the removed units are included as well.
A dual-exitM&K stainless steel sport exhaust system is fitted, and the factory muffler also accompanies the sale. March 1969 date-coded 15″ Fuchs alloy wheels are currently mounted with 195/65 seriesBridgestone Potenza Pole Position tires. The wheels themselves were coded as option 9110, which is hand-written on the Kardex copy originally ordered by the original owner.
The front trunk compartment includes a full-sized Fuchs spare, along with an aftermarket front strut bar.
Inside, this 911T retains factory-correct black leatherette upholstery. Recently, newheadlining and carpets were sourced fromAutobahn Interiors in San Diego at a cost of $2k for materials alone.
A Momo Prototipo steering wheel is fitted, while the OEM steering wheel is also included in the sale. The factory-optional Becker Europa radio was removed and blanked-off at some point in the past.
The original 2.0-liter flat-six has been rebuilt to ‘S’ specifications by a local marque specialist and fitted with PMO carburetors, MSD ignition, and more. Approximately 100 miles ago an engine oil service was completed and the car was given a general inspection.
Engine #6196236 and transmission #7195301 both match the CoA and Kardex as original to this chassis.
The engine was rebuilt by http://john-truman.com. John is a Porsche specialist, very highly regarded, and has nearly 60 years of Porsche expertise under his belt. The engine had a rebore to 2.2L from 2.0L, the heads were flowed, and it had a valve job at the same time. S camshafts were also installed, along with a new oil pump, new bearings, chain tensioners, etc, etc, etc. The PMO carbs were fitted at this time, too. The engine was totally rebuilt.

While the car was at the restoration shop, he redid the brakes to cope with the extra HP. New brake calipers were installed. A new gas tank also, and bigger torsion bars. New stainless steel heat exchangers were fitted at this time, also.

This is a very rare opportunity to purchase an original Tangerine long-hood 911. The asking price is $110,000. We may be interested in a partial trade for another interesting car.

I have hundreds of pictures of the car and links to videos that I'm happy to send to any interested party.
