After being restored, the last owner of this rare Vette enjoyed his car, rather than letting it sit and waste away he drove it when the opportunity allowed. Between the last two owners approx. 14k miles since it was restored. Because it's been driven over the years it drives beautifully and runs flawless. It starts and idles without hesitation or smoke. Its tight and true going down the road. It shifts smooth and firm and the clutch is easy to engage. With all 435 Horse's behind you you'll be glad the Power disc brakes stop you straight and quick. Even though it's been driven a little, most if not all was without the hardtop installed. Like so many, the hard tops are seldom used, this car hard-top looks good on the surface but storage has allowed it's age to show a little. The black exterior vinyl still looks great, but the interior liner is aged and shrunk a little, as well as discolored slightly and the rubber seal is dried and cracked a bit. Regarding the overall cosmetic condition of this investment grade car, we are delighted to say, it's really exceptional! When you consider it was restored 30 years ago it's really hard to believe. Of course, it helps that it enjoyed a full repaint in 2018, the paint is beautiful! The leather seats look new with no rips or stains, however there is a little wrinkling at the riffles from being sat on. The carpet is nice, as is the dash, door panels, gauges, glass, rubber, fit and finish. All of the stainless and chrome is bright, clean and shinny. The car looks in person nearly as fresh as it did when it was restored. "Time Capsule" comes to mind when describing just how great this rare Corvette is. It truly looks as good in person as it does in the pictures. Obviously this car could be a garage anchor or trophy hound trailer queen, It is after all a numbers matching L71 1967 Big Block Corvette Convertible! Its got great looks, IN FACT ITS GORGEOUS!!! It was completely frame off restored using NCRS guidelines. The paint shimmers and sparkles, tempting you to touch to see if it's wet (NO TOUCHING :-)) the body is smooth and clean, it's got wonderful sound, lots of power, the chrome glistens in the sun, the lights work, the gauges work, (The clock recently stopped working) the doors close smoothly, the windows move effortlessly, the wipers wipe (however I doubt the car will ever see rain). It has it all! Drive and enjoy it, show and win with it, or just admire it. However you choose to enjoy this amazing car one things for sure, this is an investment that will always pay off.
