Description

1970 Dart Swinger 340 Survivor 4 speed
This swinger has 100% original paint, drive train, and interior. There is absolutely no rust and never has been. This car is extremely well documented which includes fender tag, build sheet, original window sticker, original sales contract and even a copy of the salesman's card this car was purchased from. A friend of mine bought this swinger from the original owner a few years back. The original owner kept all paperwork related to this vehicle which includes all maintenance records large purchases and even a small book which recorded all gas stops and oil changes etc. All body and drivetrain numbers match and are easy to verify. As far as I can tell there are only two modifications to this swinger one which is the electronic ignition ( of which I have the original dual point distributor ) and the original disc brakes were converted to power disc when the car was a year old and had a little over 1500 miles. This was done by the dealer the car was purchased from and there is a receipt for that as well.
The body on this is rust free. I can see no evidence of body or paint work other then some touched up chips here and there. All body gaps are good and all doors hood and trunk all work and shut as they should. There are some chips and a few very small body dings and a few thin spots the worst of which I showed in pictures. The chrome and brightwork still show well and are consistent with a car this old that has been taken care of. The factory tinted glass is still all original and in very good condition except for a dime sized chi[p and a few marks in windshield. The windows roll up and down easily and align up to each other as they should.
The engine fires up quickly and almost instantly is idling smoothly. There are no funny noises or ticks. This engine is responsive and revs and accelerates properly. The 4 speed shifts as it should again with no funny noises or grinds. The clutch is firm and strong with no signs of slippage. This is all driven by a 355 sure grip with again no noises or howls. Even with the bias ply tires this car is very comfortable to drive at all speeds. This is no wandering and this swinger steers and stops extremely well. I am not afraid to drive this car anywhere.
The interior is again 100% original. This includes carpet, headliner, seats, dash, etc. The carpet shows a little wear in areas but is till presentable. The headliner is nice as well as the dash and gauges. All gauges work except for the oil pressure which is not hooked up. The wipers, lights, blinkers, heater and fan all work as they should. The driver's seat has a little thin spot under steering wheel to small to photograph. All seats and belts function properly
This an extremely nice survivor which is highly documented and a very reliable driver. Cars like this are rare and hard to come by. That being said this car should really be seen either by you or your representative before end of auction. If you need specific pictures or have questions please call and you will get honest answers. This swinger is being sold where is as is and no warranties have been written expressed or implied. Car should be picked within 30 days of auction ending unless previous arrangements have been made. All checks of any kind will clear before vehicle is released. Any offers or trades? Thanks Bill 636 219 7298
