1959 KAISER TRAVELER VERY UNIQUE BACK SEAT TURNS DOWN TO MAKE LARGE STORAGE AREA
Description
We had it painted in 2005 and it has always been garaged. We have driven it less than 1,000 miles since we've owned it. Taken only to local car shows and not driven in the bad weather or winter. The mileage is actual mileage at 34400. It has new Goodyear whitewall tires. Also new chrome wheels. The engine was removed from the car, changed some seal, repainted and re- installed. It has a new after market wiring harness installed. We used a new light switch that came with the harness and installed under the dash. The original switch is still in place. The ignition switch was not working and a new switch was installed to turn the ignition on and off. There are 41 pieces of oak on the floor of the back which was all refinished. New carpet was installed. All chrome has been re-chromed. The car has a padded dash that is original. An after market temp gauge is installed. The gas gauge does not work, the oil and amp are OK. The master cylinder and wheel cylinder have been replaced. All four of the brake cylinders have been replaced. The the three flex lines have been replaced. There is also an extra original generator for the car. An adapter was made to put on a spin on oil filter. The car drives and stops good like it's supposed to. The original wheels, tires, and hubcaps go with the car. The interior is all all original, it has a small tear on top back of drivers side. The headliner is good. We are the second owners of the car. We have talked to the niece of the original owner, her Aunt, who is deceased. The info board we had made for the car shows mentions this. (picture)
