I`m looking to sell my 1974 Jensen Interceptor. It`s a Series III car with the 440 mated to an automatic transmission. I bought it because it`s a neat car ( And who, outside of a few former girlfriends, doesn`t like a neat car. ). I`m selling it because I`ve run out of storage.
The good side of things is that, with the exception of the jack and the tool kit, it seems to be a complete car. It has a couple of dings, but I don`t think that it`s ever been involved in a collision. It comes equiped with a Nardi Steering wheel.
The negative side of things is that it will require a complete restoration. Everypart on this car will need attention.
It is a wonderful showcase of where an Interceptor can rust. The roof, the hood, the channel that the hood sits in, the floorboards, and the passenger side front wheelwell, will all need to be replaced. It has rust in the engine compartment.
The interior gets points for attendance, but will need restored.
It looks as if the previous owner tried to get it running and gave up. I haven`t even tried to see if it turns over.
The car is for sale locally. Should it sell locally before the end of the auction, I reserve the right to cancel the auction.
