Description

This very unique Flxible Metro transporter was custom built by a well know CA hot rod builder and features the world's only front opening cap for loading your toy(s). The driver/passenger area features 3 abreast race seats which quick release and remove for loading. The Flaming River billet steering column drops out with 1 bolt or for narrower vehicles the small race steering wheel removes for clearance. The fiberglass cap is stiffened with internal steel tubing hinged to a custom fabricated rectangular box section support built into the bus structure. Two door latch assemblies capture the cap when closed and are independently operated manually. There is essentially 30' of garage space behind the seating area. Presently, directly behind the seats there is 10' of elevated aluminum diamond plate ramps to hold our Formula 1 Sidecar, 3' of space, a 2' deep X 6' long workbench built on top of 2 flammable liquid cabinets that each hold 2 fuel jugs, then about 20' of open space to a black upholstered full width bench with both rear wheel wells boxed and topped with black marble tables. The eye catching 'Rat Fink' styled graphix, flamed nose paint, various pinstriped panels and 18' long roof wings (ala '57 Chev) garner stares everywhere! Low profile Toyo's on the front and 80 series rear tires give the perfect hot rod rake. All tires are new with only a recent 1000 mile trek to Portland Int'l Raceway. The airbag suspension have been fitted with fast reaction leveling valves to keep her cornering flat..she drives like a 40' long sports car! Front and rear dump valves slam her down for the car shows! The 6V92TA turbo and supercharged Detroit Diesel just came out of the shop for some tuning! Larger injectors, fuel pump and governor adjustment turned her up to 375hp. The muffler was removed and a straight pipe installed from the turbo. She sounds the way she looks! New brake shoes were just installed on all 4 wheels and a full service performed including coolant and tank flushing, transmission fluids and all filters. Four new batteries just installed. Also the road Air Conditioning was just serviced and recharged. She has only had one road trip since all work was performed. We're retiring from racing and this neat unit needs a new owner and be used! Will consider trades on 2,3 or 4 wheeled vehicle.
