Exterior
Older repaint is showing age, paint is dull and is cracking in several places. Chrome and trim is dull and pitted in places, grill shows surface rust.
Interior
Old reupholstered interior is showing age and wear. The dash and trim pieces appear original and show their age. Gauges are not functioning.
Mechanical
Starter will not “catch” every time engine is started and grinds, once engine starts, it runs smoothly and quietly. Clutch is worn out and it can be very difficult to shift the car into gear from neutral. Once in first, shifting between second and third is easy. Engine has power but blow-by can be seen coming from under the hood at idle. Brakes need adjustment, there is no feeling then will suddenly grab.
This is a relatively uncommon model and is a good solid candidate for restoration. This Pierce Arrow is accepted as a Full Classic® by the Classic Car Club of America.
