Description
Clean clear non op title in my name and California white/silver license plates. This Rare car is number 352 of only 500 ever made from 1953-1954.In hand documentation from owner indicates this vehicle started its life in the San Diego Navy.Documentation also states that vehicle spent approximately 30 years in a local fire department, then in 1995 previous owner's husband acquired car from fire department where they found it abandoned in a field with weeds growing up around it.After husband rescued the car it was media blasted and the minimal rust was repaired. He later passed away and never got to restore his dream..Rear side glass and door glass are in perfect condition. No rust found in bottom of rear door and all hardware is still in place.Passenger side floor has been patched.Only 2 small areas, maybe 2" long,of rust found to the rear of front doors in quarter panels.Car comes with 2 matching rust free front fenders with "HENNEY" letters on both, nice stainless spears and both have inner fender panels and heater ducting. Also comes with 2 fender skirts and an additional pair of original Packard tail lights and a 1952 hood..Current grille is from a 1952.No front door glass or windshield glass.Engine compartment is very much untouched.Henney designed and built the bodies and contracted to Packard to supply chassis and running gear. After Henney began production they discovered they had under estimated the cost to build them. They then went back to customers who ordered some with an increase in the purchase price. Many so NO which then led to them contacting the Navy to be used as ambulances..If you need more information or more specific pictures, you can email me or call me,Jack,at 760-717-1334If you are an overseas buyer, I have a truck and trailer and can transport the car to a shipper in Long Beach for $350.
