1956 Packard Caribbean Convertible 1 of 276 with Parts Car & quarter panels
Description
1956 Packard Caribbean Convertible -The last great Packard built - 1 of only 276 made!
This car is nearly complete and in very restorable condition. Pulled from the barn of a local collector this car has not seen the weather for decades and has solid floors and frame.
The 1956 Caribbean captures the true essence of 1950's styling with its dagmar bumper, wrap around windshield, fender skirts, dual power antennas, and through the bumper exhaust. Those features are only a sampling of what sets the Caribbean apart from the standard offerings of the big three in 1956. One look inside and take you back to a time of attention to detail and over the top styling. You will immediately notice the unique reversible seat cushions (leather or cloth), push button ultramatic transmission, wonderbar radio, and golden anodized dash. Under the hood the 374 cubic inch V8 fed by dual four barrel carburetors produced an unheard of 310 horsepower and 405 foot-pounds of torque. This is a truly iconic piece of Americana, just imagine yourself floating down the boulevard on the wide white wall tires and torsion level suspension.
It would be hard to imagine that you will see another 1956 Caribbean Convertible this complete any time soon if ever. These cars are very desirable and can easily sell for six figures at auction. With only 276 produced this may truly be the last great Packard built.
The included parts car is in great shape and will supply most needed parts for the restoration.
In addition to the parts car there are also right and left complete quarters in great condition.
