THE BODY OF THE CAR IS EXCEPTIONAL.THE FLOORS AND TRUNK ARE EXTREMELY SOLID.THERE IS ONLY ONE SMALL HOLE ABOUT THE SIZE OF A 50 CENT PIECE BEHIND THE DRIVERS SEAT.THERE IS SOME PERFORATION IN THE PASSENGERS ROCKER PANEL, BUT WOULD BE A VERY EASY FIX.THE BODY IS ALSO VERY STRAIGHT, WITH ONLY A FEW SMALL DENTS TO BE ADDRESSED.
CHROME IS SHINY, AND STRAIGHT.STAINLESS TRIM IS ALL THERE, AND IN GENERALLY GOOD CONDITION,WITH ONLYTHE STANDARD AMOUNT OF DINGS.POTMETAL IS OK, WITH SOME MINOR PITTING.
GLASS IS EXCELLENT OVERALL, WITH ONLY ONE CHIP IN THE WINDSHIELD ON THE PASSENGER’S SIDE, AND LIGHT FOGGING AROUND THE WING WINDOWS.
INTERIOR IS GOOD DRIVER QUALITY.SEATS ARE IN OK CONDITION AND SIT WELL.HEADLINER IS DECENT, ONE HOLE ABOVE THE DRIVERS SUNVISOR (NOT A MOUSE HOLE, IT LOOKS LIKE SOMEONE PUSHED UP TOO HARD ON THE SUNVISOR),DOOR PANELS ARE IN OK CONDITION.THE INSTRUMENT PANEL IS IN EXCELLENT CONDITION, AND IS ONE OF THE REASONS I FELL IN LOVE WITH THIS VEHICLE.
ALL GAUGES WORK PROPERLY.RADIO DOES NOT TURN ON, AND I HAVE NOT INVESTIGATED IT.ALL OF THE COURTESY LIGHTS FUNCTION PROPERLY, AS DO THE HEADLIGHTS AND TAIL LIGHTS.THE TAIL LIGHTS ARE ANOTHER REASON I LOVE THIS CAR, THEY ARE STUNNINGAFTER DARK!!! POWER SEAT FUNCTIONS PROPERLY AS WELL.
ENGINE RUNS WELL, THANKS TO A PERTRONIX IGNITION CONVERSION, AND TUNE UP.THE CARB WAS JUST REBUILT AS WELL.RADIATOR HAS BEEN FLUSHED, AND RESOLDERED.POWER STEERING PUMP WAS REBUILT TO SPECS.A NEW WATER PUMP HAS ALSO JUST BEEN INSTALLED.THE GAS TANK WAS REPLACED WITH A NEW ONE, AND A NEW FUEL SENDING UNIT INSTALLED.THE ENTIRE BRAKE SYSTEM WAS REDONE, AND IT WEARS A BRAND NEW SET OF 235/75/15 WHITEWALL TIRES.EXHAUST IS NEW FROM FRONT TO BACK, AND SOUND ABSOLUTELY AWESOME COMING THROUGH TRUE DUAL EXHAUST THROUGH THE BUMPER. THE WORK LISTED HERE RAN ABOUT $2,950 TO COMPLETE.I WANTED TO START WITH THE MECHANICAL FIRST, THEN GO ON TO THE BODY NEXT.
