1939 Packard 1700 2 Door Convertible - Black With Red Interior
Description
Only a few times in a lifetime does an opportunity like this arise to obtain a very special, unique collector vehicle. DO NOT MISS THIS OPPORTUNITY!! This is a gorgeous, very rare 1939 Packard model 1700 convertible. This survivor has just 56,670 miles from new, and has been owned by two families for nearly it's entire life. When was the last time you've seen one in person?
This beautiful car was purchased new in 1939 as a second anniversary present for Mrs. Brinny and it was her pride and joy. She proudly kept this vehicle for many years until she was forced to stop driving. A collector purchased this car briefly, but Mrs. Brinny couldn't imagine anyone else "outside the family" owning the car, so she purchased it back. She enjoyed the car until she moved to a home without a garage, forcing her to sell the car. Our family purchased the car from her, and we have taken great care of it since. We are now looking for a new family to take the reigns.
Upgrades done on the car include: re-chrome, re-paint exterior, and new wiring harness. The vehicle has also been mechanically maintained. The panels are perfect on this vehicle, and it has never been in an accident.
There are a number of retrospective articles written about this car, along with the original owner's manual and original sales brochure. They are included in this listing.
This car is an extremely rare, low mileage, a survivor vehicle. The amenities include 3 speed transmission on the column, self winding working clock, wide white wall tires, heater, and more. This car runs and drives incredibly well and is very dependable.
Please feel free to ask any questions on this vehicle - you will not regret owning and enjoying it!
